EICR Report

 Electrical installation condition reports (EICR) are now an important part of electrical safety. Landlords are responsible for ensuring that a rented property's electrical installation is safe for it's tenants to use. The law governing the EICR has been updated and will take effect in July 2020. All landlords would be legally required to have an electrical installation condition report in place. If the tenant, managing agent, or local government asks for it, they must be able to provide it within 30 days. The government has also made it law that by April 2021, all existing tenancies must have an EICR report.
